How much does an evaluation cost?

Each patient’s evaluation is different, and as such fees vary depending on multiple factors. For instance, the nature of the referral question, the extensiveness of the testing involved, and the time required to score, interpret, and document the patient’s strengths and weaknesses can range from a brief consultation to a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation.

The evaluation is structured with an initial 90 minute Consultation/Clinical Interview that will determine appropriate next steps for the evaluation or consultation with other professionals.  At the conclusion of the initial intake appointment,  the expected assessment measures and associated costs will be presented.

Can I use private insurance or Medicare?

Currently STL Neuropsych Services is an “Out-of-Network provider” for all insurance plans.  Payment is due to STL Neuropsych Services at the time of evaluation. A description of the services including dates and procedural codes will be provided upon request at the conclusion of the evaluation for the patient to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement. Of note, STL Neuropsych Services will not bill an insurance company directly or negotiate fees.
